לדרך הפנסיה שלי התווספה  עוד החלטה שבתי מלון בטיולים, הם לעד  שהייה בת שבוע,  מעבר לזה :להשכיר דירה מקומית. הכייף שבחיבור המקומי, עם סופר שוק למוצרים טריים, בישול בבית, בדרך כלל יותר גדול מחדר במלון ובכלל שווה יותר בעיני וההולנדי מסכים.

האפשריות היום בהחלט מגוונות. ואני משכירה דרך אתר אינטרנטי זאת כבר הפעם הרביעית או חמישית.

ההחלטה לבקר בליסבון קשורה לבחור מקסים שהכרתי באינסטגרם, שמו אוסקר ובן זוגו פרנסיסקו. אנחנו מיודדים מאז 2011. ביוני 2012 הם הגיעו לישראל לביקור ו"שדכתי" להם וירטואלית כמה מהחברים שלי מאינסטגרם, יושבי תל אביב וסביבתה, שהגדילו לארח לו ולבן זוגו חברה. ואכן הביקור צלח וכמה מהם נשארו חברים קרובים שלהם. עוד הכרתי לו חבר צעיר שלי מורגינה שהגיע לפורטוגל והיה חיבור מקסים בניהם. אז זה כמובן לא יכל להשאר כך.  מבחינתי , וארגנתי ביקור בארץ הזאת שמזמן כבר רציתי אבל כאן היתה סיבה למסיבה כפולה. .מה שטוב בחלומות הפנסיה שלי הם ראליים. לא משהו שקשה להשיג באם רוצים. ליסבון. עוד וי לרשימה!!!

בכל אופן את הדירה  פה, בליסבון שכרנו בחורף האחרון  ליעד יולי 2013. בעלת הדירה הבטיחה לי  אז שאין צורך במיזוג בעיר, כי הבנין מבטון ,מוצל ומאד אוירירי. מכיון ששכרנו דירה ללא מיזוג בקאפ טאון בחודש פברואר האחרון (פוסט  קאפ טאון, נכתב אך לא גמור. הוא יועלה ~ מבטיחה לעצמי) שהוא חודש הקיץ הדרום אפריקאי המגביל ליולי  בצד הזה של העולם, לא היינו זקוקים למיזוג שם,  ממש לא! לכן, חשבתי לתומי שמדובר באיזור דומה מבחינת אקלים. טוב, אז חשבתי. לא היה ולא נברא הדמיון!! בקאפ טאון היו 27 מעלות מקסימום , בליסבון היום היו 51 מעלות.!!!!!!

אבל מה שועלת דרכים שכמותי,לצלם אפשר בכל מעלות החום, ההיפך שגשם וקר קשה יותר.

אז  הנה צילמתי לכם! שלא תגידו שאני מפונקת ומפאת החום לא יוצאת מהדירה.

אז לדרך. ליסבון. זהו יומנו הראשון פה, כך שאין לי ממש סיכומיים. רק צילומים. כמובן כולם שלי. תהנו~

זאת עיר מלאה גבעות,מדרגות ומדרכות מזמן אחר.

מקומות חמודים עם כל מיני קישוטים לבית הסמל שלהם הוא התרנגול לא יודעת בדיוק למה.

Can someone STOP this kind of riding with kids in Amsterdam???

I was not  believing the  people of amsterdam ,!!
 so many kids just seating in a carts attached to bikes in Amsterdam.
I am telling you I was turning my head with fear of the idea that if a car will heat the bike they  will fly out.
I hope my post will make it to someone hands with power to stop the danger rides.

My traveling is getting me to jewals of spots~

Made it to Amsterdam ~

made it to Amsterdam, Albert my hubby asked me how do i feel about not working, designing being in the market of the baby industry. I must admit, just visited with a friend of mine , she went to design a baby room in new york city and i was thinking to myself better her then me. we have sets left at few baby stores e mail me i will try to help you. you see i am working again..smiling I don't know if i will ever miss it. for now i am ok not working. I will look forward change of heart. in the meantime i will enjoy my retirement ~ enjoy my images our home in amsterdam ~

My never ending love affair with baby bedding , baby's rooms moms and grandmas~

my sweet friend Riki; is going to be a grandma and I wanted to treat her with one of my last sets. it was amazing as the color was such a perfect match to the crib. light silver , pink and ivory. lovely mix.
lovely outcome. I am honored and delighted to have her grandchild in a crib with Nava's Designs baby bedding~
Cece her daughter in law is so happy with the outcome~ thank you for making my day~ now i know i will miss my babies , my bedding , my mom to be and grandmas. then again... i may be back... who knows?.. smiling






visiting the room is highlight for me as a designer. always been always will.

back to my house in California ~

After six weeks of traveling i am back to my California home.
 well, the house ended up not selling. so now i am putting it on the market again . it is a good thing as the prices of the houses went up a bit.
waking up to not working life is odd for me here in this house,  i am thinking of my friends in the baby industry do i miss it? well not really but love to be able to get few moms happy with my last sets.
thinking of my friend Robyn from Bellini Scarsdale ny and wishing her speedy recovery from the bad card of  her life deck. love you~

I had great time in the pass six weeks one week with my boys and my girl friend Melisa on a cruise to the Caribbean ' two weeks Israel and two weeks panama canal cruise   with my hubby!
life is wonderful! and " life it just  perfect this way" said  Susan Spencer Wendel a writer ~ i just finished her book "until i say goodbye" it is a sure must !!

today I am going to Art for kids in Beverly hills to put few sets on the floor' as they sold three whisper night in two weeks!  and one set was sold right from my kitchen to Laura my last set  of whisper fancy~ lucky baby~
will ship sets to Israel as now i find my self really wondering : what will i do when i will have  a grand kid?
i am not able to shop toy's r us. sorry not able to. nothing wrong with toys r us its just not me. smiling

Retirement is wonderful ~ if you have many places to go and many people to see as i do~

this is my art room,  i paint and i scrapbook too..in my home in california, which wil be empty in few days..or so i hope...



waking up yesterday at my home in Tarzana, was a bit strange. now is the time i have no longer a place to call  my workplace. or to call stores to say hi. my friends in the biz are just going to fade away. as life takes all of us to different spots.
i spoke to my friend Margo and she was so nice to me to cheer me up talking about the lights that i will shed in the future while it was locked within me for the past five years.
I  just called my nava's designs number, which i had for 27 years,  a recording answered, sending the callers to call .....my cell number. wow.
anyhow, my house here is sold and i will be moving away from california on may 22nd.
we will start cross country drive, via the north route to nyc.
we will stop at salt lake city to visit with jan and chicago to visit with danna, and julie. we will visit  my son and the sanocki's in michigan . can't wait

as i promised i am sharing images of more quilts and sets i have in my warehouse~

in a few days i will wrap up my 26 years of nava's designs home in stagg street, van nuys.

I will say it's not easy but it's for sure something i needed to do for me.

I am 56 and I am free..smiling
