The most Popular Baby Names for 2010~

Dying to know what everyone else is naming their baby? The Social Security Administration just released its list of the most popular baby names for 2010, and it's a lot like last year's list -- with Jacob and Isabella leading the pack. And just two new names made the top 10: Aiden and Anthony for boys. (The girls' top 10 is exactly the same as 2009, just in a different order.) Here's the list:

Okay, so we're not totally surprised by this list. Want to know what other names are getting trendy? Well, luckily, those peeps over at the SSA also track popularity changes. They found that Bentley, Kellan and Knox had the biggest jumps in rank for boys, and Maci, Giuliana and Tiana are becoming more common for girls.

Nava's Designs is going back to Antiques, Lets all give the old world a New Look~

Back in the day, 20 years ago, I was in love with Antique stores, Antique fairs, shows and anything related to antiques.


Nowadays I still keep lots of these items in my house, but I must admit that the love I had has been replaced with a new style of decor. I always love to add on pieces I have collected in the years I was collecting antiques.

While I was visiting Fort Worth, TX, I stopped in an Antique Mall. I was sorry so see such a grand mall empty of visitors, not even stopping to browse. Let's all go back and give the old world a new look. Nava's Designs will do a new "old set" for 2012... I promise!

I do believe the modern trends will step aside and people will go back to old and beautiful again.

How an Oil Painting of a Baby Came to Life… A Decade Later!

Its just a sweet short story but its all facts.

Back in 1982, I asked a friend of mine, Bella, to paint what she thought my future baby would look like. It was sort of a spiritual painting for me, a good luck charm, that I would one day have a baby of my own. At the time, I was not married and did not have children yet. I had not even met my husband yet. So, Bella got busy and painted the picture for me.



12 years later, we adopted our second son . At the time, I had been using the painting in various photo shoots for Nava's Designs. It wasn’t until a few years after he was born that I realized the resemblance. It was an amazing feeling to figure out one day that my son actually looked like the baby I had invisioned and Bella had painted.



The power of two minds is remarkable!

love being part of any Baby showers and when its come to my own friends and family of Nava's designs girls ,its even better ~ as in Sally's baby shower. I know her since she was a baby, and seeing her now as mom to be is so up lifting to me, and knowing my friend shelly will be a grandma is so funny as she look nothing like one....

When someone special in your life is expecting a new baby, I just loved it! and I loved the party~ best wishes to my friend Shelly the grandma to be and Sally I am looking forward the images of your Nava's designs baby room and soon after the picture of your baby girl in her dream room which I am sure it will be~
